Kind words
We were delighted to welcome author Talia Adanna to our school, where she spent time reading to individual classes and sharing her wonderful stories. Her books, ‘Alanah’s Amazing Afro’ and ‘Gerald the Lonely Giraffe’, truly captivated our pupils, sparking imagination, laughter and thoughtful conversations.
Talia’s warm and engaging presence made each session feel personal and special and she connected beautifully with children of all ages. It was inspiring for our students to meet a real author and hear the stories brought to life in such an expressive and meaningful way.
Her visit left a lasting impression, encouraging a love of reading and storytelling throughout the school.
School visits
I offer exciting readings of my books to the whole school or to individual classes, and can run a fun, themed workshop inspired by the stories. Every session is interactive, inclusive and inspiring — built on years of experience with children through my tuition work.
A lively whole-school reading, using themed props, sensory elements and guided reading to pull every child into the story.
A smaller, personal session where children hear the story up close and get to meet a real author — questions encouraged.
A fun, creative workshop inspired by the stories, shaped around your class and the focus you want the visit to have.
Visits
Visits run in person or virtually for schools, libraries, community groups and literacy events. Tell me what you have in mind and I’ll shape the session around it.
